HUSKIES: Girls 60.5, PV 55.5, GV 47 Boys 37, GV 73, PV 51

The track teams traveled to Pymatuning Valley for a tri meet with Grand Valley on Tuesday night. The boys team scored 37 points to come in 3rd behind PV (51), and GV with 73. The girls managed to pull off a win scoring 60.5 points while PV had 55.5, and GV had 47. 

The boys were led by the exploits of Kyle Simms who won both hurdle races in season best times. Right behind Kyle was Hayden Cummins who took 2nd in both hurdle races. The boys 4x800 used a big leg by Joey Bradesca to get the lead and never looked back as Luke Timas and Todd Wright kept the other teams at bay. Connor Sodee continued his breakout season with a few personal bests as he helped the 4x200 to a win and ran a personal best in both the 400 and 200. Ben Lobdell was part of the winning 4x200 and placed third in a very competitive 400 with a  season best. Also scoring for the Huskies were Trey Shirkey (Shot/Disc), Seth Peters (Shot), Robbie Mulh (High Jump), Luke Timas (800), and the 4x400.

 

The girls were led by the steady presence of Trisha Cesar who continued her stellar season in long jump winning the event. Trisha also ran great legs on the winning 4x200 and on the 4x400. Taylor Ziegler had an outstanding meet running personal bests in the 300H, 4x200, and 4x400. Paige Webb picked up a big win in the 800. Anna Blubaugh showed some speed picking up wins in the 4x200, 400, and 200. Anna Avalon continued her hot streak in the disc picking up the win and placed 3rd in shot. Also scoring for the Huskies were Marina Cooper (High Jump), Mackenzie Conley (Long jump), Kaylee Klepper (Shot/Disc), Jordyn Schultz (Shot/Disc), 4x800, Abby Geesling (110H/300H), Camille Cummins (1600), Megan Maddox (400), and Jenna Ayer (800).

The Huskies return to action Friday night at Bedford Stadium at the Trinity Invitational.
